The Almanor Culinary Arts Academy, near the shores of beautiful Lake Almanor, has a faculty position available. We are seeking an individual with a equal concern for the growth and success of students preparing for culinary careers as well as those seeking personal enrichment.

We are developing a Two-Year Associate Degree Program and seventeen unit Certificate In Professional Culinary Arts. We also offer non-degree program courses designed to increase academic proficiency or meet prerequisites for higher education transfers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Implementing an 18 week culinary arts instructional program that will prepare adults for employment in the food service industry.
• Teaching a skills-based culinary arts curriculum to possibly limited English speaking and low income persons.
•Developing a hands on curriculum that is applicable to students learning levels by incorporating instruction for multiple levels when appropriate.
•Preparing students to pass the National Restaurant Association Serve Safe Certification Test
•Participating in teacher meetings, staff meetings, and other meetings convened by the Administrative Director.
•Maintaining relevant professional development.
•Working with appropriate staff members to provide externship services to students.

 

The Almanor Culinary Arts Academy is seeking a positive minded individual from the Culinary industry to teach day and evening classes.
